Fructose Malabsorption Breath Test

A simple, non-invasive test to identify whether fructose is contributing to your gut symptoms.

What the fructose breath test checks for

This test checks whether your body has trouble absorbing fructose.

A natural sugar found in fruit, honey, juices and many packaged foods. If fructose isn’t absorbed properly in the small intestine, it moves into the large intestine where it’s fermented by bacteria. This fermentation creates hydrogen and/or methane gas, which is what the test measures.
