This test checks whether your body has trouble absorbing sorbitol.

The Sorbitol Breath Test checks how well you absorb sorbitol. A sugar alcohol found in stone fruits, sugar free products, chewing gum and some processed foods. Poor absorption leads to fermentation in the gut, producing gases that signal sorbitol malabsorption.
